The Virginia State University Woo Woos first began in 1975 under the direction of Dr. Paulette Johnson. The Men of Troy were later added to the squad. Over the years, this dynamic group has not only performed at sporting events, but has also been involved with community service activities, television commercials, and a countless number of cheerleading camps. The Woo Woos have become very well known throughout the CIAA.
The Woo Woo Alumni Chapter of the Virginia State University Alumni Association (VSUAA) was chartered on August 18, 2001. Charter members were Robin Gray, Keisha Allen, Marcia Graves James, Natalie Walloe White, and Carla Howard. We are very proud to be a part of the Virginia State University Alumni Association and our alma mater...Virginia State University.
